🧠 What is PTSD?
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by a traumatic event—such as an accident, assault, or combat.
Symptoms include flashbacks, anxiety, mood changes, and sleep issues that persist for over a month and interfere with daily life.
About 6% of people in the U.S. will experience PTSD. It’s treatable through therapy, medication, and support, and recovery is absolutely possible.
Tip of the Day

🧑🏾🏫 Start Engaging with Your Professors More Often
One of the most underrated academic moves is building a relationship with your professors. Whether you have questions, need guidance, or want to explore research, talking to them regularly can open doors. Here’s why:
Clarify Confusing Material: Office hours are the best place to get personalized explanations that lectures just can’t offer.
Build Academic Relationships: Professors can become mentors, recommenders, and even collaborators if you show initiative.
Discover New Opportunities: Many professors know about internships, research roles, and scholarships long before they’re public.
Learn How They Think: Talking with professors can teach you how professionals approach problems in your field.
Stand Out from the Crowd: In large classes, few students reach out. Being one of them can make a lasting impression.
