😁 Motivation: Get Comfortable with Failure
What do Albert Einstein and Michael Jordan have in common? They both failed before they became legends.
Jordan didn’t make his high school varsity basketball team as a sophomore. Einstein didn’t get into ETH Zurich on his first try. Both of them could’ve given up—but instead, they turned failure into fuel.
You might not be aiming for the NBA or a Nobel Prize, but your setbacks—bad grades, rejections, doubts—are part of the process. Everyone stumbles. What matters is what you do next.
Take a breath, refocus, and keep pushing. You've got this. 💪🏾

This week in science: CRISPR is making history again.
CRISPR Gene Editing Cures Liver Disease in Baby
A newborn diagnosed with carbamoyl phosphate synthetase 1 deficiency (CPS1), a rare genetic disorder that causes dangerous ammonia buildup in the brain, was treated with gene editing, not just medication.
Instead of managing the condition with traditional therapies, the family opted for a CRISPR-based treatment that literally cut the faulty gene out of the baby’s DNA.
🧑🏾⚕️ Led by Dr. Kiran Musunuru and Dr. Rebecca Ahrens-Nicklas at the University of Pennsylvania, this marks a major step toward personalized genetic medicine for rare disorders.
